Listen to your Body

Let's face it, we are all busy running a hundred miles per hour. Whether its putting in many hours at work, running around with the kid or taking care of elderly relatives , there is so much going on that we easily forget to take note of what our bodies are trying to tell us.

It's not surprising that we can easily dismiss what our body is speaking to us such as eye circles, brittle fingernails, thinning hair, bad breath, skin discoloration or constant bloating.

Many of us think of it as minor inconvenience or see it as signs of aging. But what if these signs are the body's way of letting us know something is wrong? If you tend to ignore your body's signals, you are not alone. Even time-pressed doctors

are more likely to send us off for CT scans, mammogram, colonoscopy and MRIs rather than a conduct simple routine physical exam of our skin, eyes, mouth, hands and feet. In some cases, a doctor is not always required, all of us are well equipped to examine our own body signs, especially when we start taking the time to study them more carefully.

Possible causes of daily inconveniences could be something as simple as nutritional deficiencies like Vitamin B, D, zinc etc. Many of these can be found in eating specific foods that address your problem or by taking vitamin and mineral supplements.

Peeling nails, dandruff or dark under circle eyes may not seem like a big deal but when taken together, these signs tell us a lot. One important thing to keep in mind is that the absence of disease doesn't mean were in the best possible state of health. If we pay closer attention to what are bodies are trying to tell us, we are more likely to prevent small imbalances from becoming bigger ones.
